Built locally.
Growing thoughtfully.
Skills Den grew from the community, relationships and experience built through Skill Samurai Carlingford.
A broader home for the skills children need.
Trisha Mehta acquired the Carlingford franchise in October 2023 and opened the doors through school-holiday camps in January 2024. What began with coding and maths grew through local family relationships, school programs, incursions, camps and new learning pathways.
In 2026, the local team evolved into Skills Den: an independent brand built around a simple idea that children learn best when they feel challenged, encouraged and included.
The name reflects the experience we want every child to have: a place to learn, build, play and belong.
Same community.
A bigger vision.
Warmth without lowering expectations.
Confidence first
Children are more willing to attempt hard things when they feel safe to make mistakes.
Make something real
Projects give learning purpose and create visible moments of pride.
Know the child
Relationships with coaches and families are not an optional extra. They are the foundation.
